Privately owned family company A.C. Roof Trusses offer the complete package for building construction; timber frame, posi-joists and roof trusses. They design and manufacture all engineered timber products from their site in Mid-Wales which is where they have taken one UTILEV forklift truck and two Bulmor side loaders from Briggs.
The machines that were on site from the previous supplier became very unreliable over time as a result of irregular servicing. A.C. Roof Trusses weren’t satisfied with the service they had been provided so looked to alternative suppliers when the time came for renewals.
Tom Jones, Managing Director of A.C. Roof Trusses, told us; “We chose Briggs due to the package that they were able to offer us. It was professional, in-depth and they had really listened to our specific needs to enable them to come up with the best solution tailored to us. During the decision making process, we enjoyed a demonstration of two trucks which helped to put our minds at ease that we really were getting the right truck for us.
“We chose the UTILEV UT35P and could not be happier with it. We made the purchase outright and it has been on site for six months now and we find it to be a sturdy and reliable piece of equipment.”
“The machines and service agreement we had previously were unreliable and reducing the efficiency of our operation. Since switching to Briggs the Truckcare agreement that we have means the machines are scheduled to be serviced and maintained on a six monthly basis and that if we do need any additional maintenance on an ad-hoc basis, the service engineer will be with us on site within three hours as per Briggs’ standard terms despite being located in quite a rural area. Our dedicated local engineer Wayne, understands our business well and works with us to keep additional costs of servicing to a minimum which of course, we appreciate as any business would.”
“As a result of Briggs attentive service we now have machines that are cost effective, fit for purpose and achieving maximum efficiency with no disruption on site. The prompt service from Briggs means that in turn we can ensure we are delivering our products in a timely manner to construction sites where time delays need to be kept to a minimum to avoid a knock-on effect to the rest of the project. In essence, Briggs is helping to make things easier for us and our customers.”
