One of the things of which we’re very proud is our commitment to help, support and give time to charities and our local communities. Briggs people put a lot of time and energy into supporting fabulous causes that are local or national, high profile or much more personal.
From helping with community projects to holding in-house events, over the years Briggs Equipment has supported many charitable organisations, conducting fundraising events to raise thousands of pounds for our annual company charity.
- In 2016 we raised £93,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust
- In 2014/15 we raised £12,000 for Parkinson’s UK
- In 2013/14 we raised over £15,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support
- In 2012/13 Briggs donated £20,000 to Midlands Air Ambulance
Briggs Equipment is also proud to be a patron of The Prince’s Trust.
Briggs Equipment has joined forces with youth charity The Prince’s Trust to give disadvantaged young people the practical and financial support they need to move into work, education or training, and has pledged £100,000 to support their vital work.
Between 2014 and 2018, Briggs Equipment will donate £25,000 each year to The Trust, an investment that has seen the company become a patron of the charity.
We also support local schools with work experience opportunities to give young people the opportunity to see a large organisation in action and to offer inspiration for career opportunities.
Briggs Equipment submits teams each year to take part in the JCB Mud Run which is one the largest NSPCC fundraising events of the year and there will be even more taking part in this year's event.
It's this spirit of getting involved that is the hallmark of our belief in supporting good causes.
