Briggs’ suppliers raise almost £5,000 to support Teenage Cancer Trust

July 01, 2016 by David Turner

A group of our senior managers have managed to secure almost £5,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust after rising to an impromptu challenge.

At 5.45pm on Tuesday they were given just 24 hours to raise at least £1,000 for the company’s nominated charity of the year, as part of a series of challenges agreed at the end of a management team meeting in Birmingham.

Other challenges included being pictured with a celebrity, making 50 people happy and to spread word of their fundraising efforts via local radio.

Since then they have been pictured with celebrity hairdresser Nicky Clarke and news presenter Nick Owen, and persuaded scores of people in Birmingham city centre smile for impromptu photographs.

More significantly, suppliers of Briggs Equipment have also joined in the efforts, pledging as much as £1,000 each towards the target of this 24-hour charity challenge. In all, around £5,000 has been generated, towards the company’s ambitious year-end target of £20,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

We would like to express our thanks for the extremely generous co-operation of the following;
